O reajuste vale apenas para os benefici\u00e1rios que ganham acima de um sal\u00e1rio m\u00ednimo e, de acordo com o calend\u00e1rio de pagamentos do Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS), ocorrer\u00e1 nos cinco primeiros dias \u00fateis de agosto.<\/p>\n<p>Em dezembro de 2009, o presidente editou a Medida Provis\u00f3ria n\u00ba 475 concedendo 6,14% de reajuste para os benef\u00edcios acima do m\u00ednimo, conforme acordo fechado com as centrais sindicais em agosto daquele ano. Em maio, o Senado converteu a Medida Provis\u00f3ria em lei, estabelecendo o reajuste em 7,72%, e, em maio, o presidente da Rep\u00fablica, Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva, sancionou o reajuste.
